Groundsure have announced the release of their new Con29M and Mine Entry report (MER). The new report combines two of the existing products into one easy to order and easy to read comprehensive document.

The mine entry interpretive report will be added to the Groundsure Con29M at no extra cost and replaces the need to order an MER report separately.

There will be both a residential and commercial edition of the combined Con29M with the residential report answering all 11 of the Con29M questions while the commercial includes all 1-11 a well as additional enquiries relating to:

  • withdrawal of support;
  • working facilities orders; and
  • payments to owners of former copyhold land.

Zone of Influence interpretive assessment

Groundsure have included the calculated Zone of Influence (ZOI) around mine entries, the physical extent to which they could pose a risk, as standard within the report.

Standard practice has previously defined mine entry risk to only 20m - which has historically meant that some risk was going unreported (where a ZOI is greater than 20m in radius).

The Groundsure Con29M report will also go above and beyond the official Law Society guidance and flag a risk whenever a mine entry ZOI encroaches on a property even when there is no mine entry within 20 metres.

The design and format of the documents will remain the same and familiar to anyone already using Groundsure. The ZOI data is built into the report intelligence, risk calculation intelligence and recommendations of the report.

Groundsure is a leading provider of environmental search reports in the UK, with a dedicated and specialist team committed to producing information that informs better property decisions.
